Industries for the Disabled Ltd
Access Industries is a not for profit registered charity that has
been in operation for more than 58 years. Our mission is to provide employment
opportunities for people with disabilities, either through direct employment in
one of our three factory divisions (located at Seven Hills, Newcastle and
Lithgow), or in the open labour market with on-going support through our Equal
Access Employment Service, based at Campsie.
At Access Industries we strive to provide an environment in which
people with disabilities can learn new tasks that develop both their work and
general life skills, and increase their personal and financial
independence.Today, Access Industries is one of the largest operations of its
kind in Australia.
Through our factory divisions we provide real employment
opportunities for over 290 people with disabilities. In order to provide these
opportunities we undertake a wide variety of sub-contract activities on behalf
of our many valued business customers: several of whom are considered as "blue
chip" companies within their own industry.
On average, a further 150 people receive support each year through
our Equal Access Employment Service. This service provides a high quality
recruitment service to many employers within the community.We hope you find our
